Company Founded
Michael Oddo founded Metro Services Group in San Francisco after decades of service.
1995
Going Green
As part of its initiative to reduce waste and save costs, Metro Services Group moves to concentrates of only essential chemicals in recyclable containers.
1996
Growing in Sustainability
Invited to San Francisco's Sustainability Plan.
1997
Daytime Cleaning
Metro Services Group begins to offer "Daytime Cleaning" at Cal EPA, saving up to $60,000 per year in energy costs.
2000
Recycler of the Year
Metro Services Group awarded "Recycler of the Year" by SF Commercial.
2002
Southern California Expansion
Metro Services Group Expands to Southern California
2004
Andy Rhoades Joins Team
Metro Services Group hires industry green guru, Andy Rhoades, to run our fledgling engineering division.
2005
Metro Engineering Services
Metro Services Group launches Metro Engineering Services offering a full range of building service professionals, from chief engineers to utility personnel.
2006
Launch LEEDing Edge Consulting
Metro launches LEEDing Edge Consulting, LLC, a sustainability consulting enterprise to help organizations achieve their Energy Star and sustainability goals.
2008
LEEDing Edge Consulting in D.C.
LEEding Edge Consulting Service invited to participate in the Green Seal Stakeholders Committee Meeting in Washington D.C., the only cleaning company to attend.
2008
Sillicon Valley Expansion
Metro Services Group expands its operation to the South Bay Area. 
2009
Green Certification
The City of San Francisco developed its Green certification designation for businesses.
Metro Awarded Green Certification
Metro Services Group became the first janitorial company in San Francisco earn the Green Business designation.
2013
Metro Services Group Acquisition
Metro Services Group acquires Customized Performance, Inc. expanding its operations
2018
Engineering Services Adds AZ
Metro Services Group expands engineering services by adding Arizona to its portfolio.
2020
CIMS Certification
Metro Services Group receives Cleaning Industry Management Standard (CIMS) certification.
2022
Oddo Family Foundation
Jennifer Hyde and Michael Oddo establish the Oddo Family Foundation to fund scholarships for service workers and their families.
2022
Metro Services Group Expands
Metro Services Group was awarded its first national engineering contract. Our business expands to 9 states outside of California including Minneapolis, Portland, Seattle, Chicago, New York City, Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, and Arizona.
