His extensive background includes managing large teams that cater to various types of facilities, including commercial high-rises, technology campuses, clean rooms, biotech facilities, manufacturing plants, retail stores, and educational institutions.

Derek holds a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from San Francisco State University and is actively involved in BOMA associations on the West Coast.
